EXISTING MEASURES PROTECTING AND PROMOTING RIGHTS OF THE MUSLIM SECTOR

 

1. provision of safeguards in the Constitution in relation to Muslim communities

2. creation of the Office on Muslim Affairs

3. creation of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao

4. establishment of Al-Amanah Islamic Bank of the Philippines

5. national recognition and observance of Muslim Holidays-establishment of the Mindanao State University aimed primarily at integrating the Muslim community into society’s mainstream
